Every month a few people write to us after registering a company, usually from abroad, asking what they need on the website. Some think they need a lot, others think a social media profile is enough. The truth sits in between, and we keep a short checklist for it.

What visitors expect

A clear sentence on what you do. A way to get in touch that is not a form alone, so an email address and, ideally, a phone number. Prices or at least a range, because people leave when they have to guess. A photograph of a real thing: your product, your workplace, your team.

What the law expects

This is general information, not legal advice, and your accountant will know your specific case better. Businesses selling to consumers generally need to show their legal name, registry code, address and contact details, and VAT number if they have one. An online shop needs terms of sale, a returns policy and a privacy notice. If you use cookies for anything beyond what the site strictly needs, you need a consent banner. We avoid that problem by not using them.

What can wait

A blog. A newsletter. A chat widget. A multi-language version, unless your customers really need it. A big redesign. Many companies add these in the first month and never use them.

We built a two-week package for this situation, a clear company page with the legal basics in place, and it costs less than the average laptop. If you need more later, the site is built so that it can grow.
