About the studio

Tammik was founded in 2018 by two developers who had spent years in larger agencies and wanted to work on fewer projects, more carefully. The name means an oak grove in Estonian. We liked the idea of something slow-growing that lasts.

Today we are nine, in an office in Kopli with a long table and a lot of plants. Some of us work from other parts of Estonia, and one from Lisbon. We meet in person every second Thursday.

Most of our clients are small and medium-sized businesses in Estonia, a few are start-ups founded by people living elsewhere who run their company from Estonia and need a clear, correct website without much fuss. We work in English, Estonian and Russian.

What we believe

• A website should do one thing well before it does five things badly.
• Speed is a feature. So is being readable on an old phone.
• You should own your site: the domain, the code, the content. We hand everything over, always.
• Fewer meetings, more writing.
